Daniele De Rossi, a former Italy midfielder, has been named the new coach of Roma following the departure of Jose Mourinho.
The 40-year-old, who spent the majority of his playing career at the club, will lead Roma until June 2024.
De Rossi’s coaching experience is limited, with his previous role at SPAL lasting just four months and culminating in relegation to the third-tier Serie C.
Roma currently sits in ninth place in Serie A and is five points away from Champions League qualification.
