Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been selected for random drug tests by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) during the ongoing tournament.
According to a source, Osimhen was subjected to tests during matches against Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon, totaling two tests in four games.
Osimhen played a crucial role in the matches, earning a penalty for Nigeria’s victory over Cote d’Ivoire and delivering a standout performance against Cameroon in the last-16 clash.
He assisted the first goal and posed a consistent threat to the opposition.
The talented striker, who currently holds the title of CAF Player of the Year, is set to lead Nigeria in the upcoming quarter-finals against Angola.
