18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo stole the show at Molineux as Manchester United came from behind twice to secure a thrilling 4-3 victory against Wolves.
Mainoo, who already made his mark with a goal in the FA Cup last weekend, announced himself on the Premier League stage with a sensational solo run and winning goal deep into stoppage time.
United enjoyed a dream start thanks to early goals from Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund. Hojlund, finally finding his league form, netted his third goal in three games with a poacher’s finish.
However, Wolves fought back in the second half, earning a penalty converted by Pablo Sarabia and then drawing level through Max Kilman’s header.
Just as United seemed resigned to a draw, Scott McTominay restored their lead with a headed corner.
But Wolves refused to give up, equalizing again in injury time through Pedro Neto’s counter-attacking goal.
Yet, United displayed their fighting spirit. Mainoo, seizing his moment, embarked on a mazy run before curling a magnificent shot past Jose Sa to snatch all three points and spark jubilant celebrations.
