Arteta Acknowledges Difficulty for Kiwior, Praises Recent Progress:
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta openly admitted to initially making things challenging for young defender Jakub Kiwior.
However, he expressed his satisfaction with Kiwior’s recent adaptation and growth.
Signed last January from Spezia, Kiwior saw limited playing time initially due to Saliba’s return and subsequent defensive partnership with Gabriel.
With injuries to Zinchenko and Tomiyasu, Kiwior stepped up, showcasing his versatility by filling the left-back position.
This coincided with Arsenal’s impressive form resurgence, putting them back in the title race.
Acknowledging the initial challenges, Arteta explained: “We brought him in early, believing in his potential, but we knew he would need time. Limited playing time and a new position made it tougher for him.”
Despite the initial difficulties, Arteta praised Kiwior’s adaptation: “He’s adjusted brilliantly, his performance keeps improving.
You can see his growing confidence and physical strength. He’s clearly grasping the role and performing well.”
