Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham faces a two-match suspension in La Liga following his red card against Valencia last weekend.
The 20-year-old was dismissed for confronting referee Jesus Gil Manzano after a controversial decision to blow for full-time just before Bellingham’s headed effort crossed the line for a potential winning goal.
The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) competitions committee confirmed the suspension on Wednesday, citing “attitudes of contempt or disregard towards referees, directors or sports authorities.”
Bellingham has also been fined €600, while Real Madrid received a €700 fine.
