Arteta Says It Was Not His Decision To Sign Kai Havertz [DETAILS]

Mikel Arteta downplayed taking sole credit for signing Kai Havertz. In a press conference on Friday, he emphasized a collaborative effort.

According to Arteta, sporting director Edu and other club leaders were involved. Havertz, who cost around £65m from Chelsea, initially faced challenges adapting to Arsenal. However, he has bounced back with 11 goals and 5 assists.

Here’s what Arteta said: “It wasn’t just my decision, it was a collective one. We were all on the same page with the club’s vision, and on the sporting side, we made a recommendation together.

It involved a lot of people, and ultimately, we needed the ownership’s support to make it happen.”
