Edo Queens Crowned NWFL Champions, Awarded N10 Million Prize
Edo Queens etched their name in history books by clinching their first-ever Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) title after a dominant performance in the Super Six playoffs.
The Benin City-based team finished atop the standings with a perfect record of 10 points, securing a well-deserved N10 million prize money for their triumph under Coach Moses Aduku.
This victory marks a significant milestone for Edo Queens, showcasing their dedication and resilience. Their success also paves the way for them to represent Nigeria on the continental stage at the CAF Women’s Champions League next season.
While Edo Queens celebrate their championship title, Rivers Angels, the runners-up from last season, will receive N5 million for their second-place finish. Bayelsa Queens, who finished third in the playoffs, will take home N3 million.
