Mourinho Gets Sentimental: “Last Euro” for Real Madrid Legends

New Fenerbahce boss, José Mourinho, recently commented on the upcoming European Championship, potentially being the last for some Real Madrid veterans.

In an interview with Philipp Kessler (via Madrid Zone), Mourinho acknowledged the illustrious careers of Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos.

While all three players achieved remarkable success with Real Madrid, their ages (Ronaldo and Modric at 39 and 38 respectively) and Kroos’ announced retirement after Euro 2024 suggest this could be their final European Championship appearance.

Mourinho expressed his sentiment on the occasion: “It’s with a touch of sadness that I watch this Euros, knowing it might be the last for these incredible players. We don’t see talents like them very often.”
