England Captain Admits Team’s Pressing Issues at Euro 2024

Following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Denmark on Thursday, England’s captain Harry Kane acknowledged areas for improvement.

The Three Lions, despite taking the lead, were unable to secure a win and conceded concerns with their overall performance.

Speaking to the BBC after the match, the captain highlighted inconsistencies in both attacking and defending. “Our pressing hasn’t been effective in either game, and we haven’t been as creative with the ball as we need to be,” he stated.

He further acknowledged a slight dip in individual performances, but emphasized maintaining composure. “There’s a collective dip in form compared to our usual standards, but we’re staying calm,” he said. “It wasn’t a strong showing, but we salvaged a point.”

England opened their Euro 2024 campaign with a narrow 1-0 win against Serbia and currently lead Group C with four points.
