“What a Player!”: Kane Credits England Star for Crucial Role

Following England’s dramatic 2-1 victory over Slovakia in the Euro 2024 Round of 16, captain Harry Kane lauded teammate Jude Bellingham for his crucial contribution.

Bellingham notched a last-gasp equalizer in stoppage time, forcing the game into extra time. Although Kane himself scored the winning goal in the extra period, he acknowledged Bellingham’s significant role in keeping England’s tournament hopes alive.

“We put in a lot of work on set pieces throughout the week,” Kane explained to ITV. “The long throw we practiced came into play, and then Jude did what he does best – scoring an unbelievable goal.”

Kane went on to praise Bellingham’s overall performance, highlighting his talent and work ethic.

“He’s one of the best players our country has ever seen,” Kane declared. “His work rate is incredible, and despite all the talk surrounding him recently, he delivered when it mattered most.”
