New Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has set a clear target for his first season at the helm: improvement across the board.
In his first official interview on Monday, the Italian manager emphasized development for both individual players and the team as a whole.
“I’m incredibly excited,” Maresca stated. “The talent within this squad is a major reason why I took this job. My philosophy is simple: improve the players, improve the team. That’s the daily focus for all of us.”
This approach comes after Chelsea finished a disappointing sixth place in the Premier League under Mauricio Pochettino last season.
