England’s Euro Fate Set: FA Confirms Southgate’s Status Before Final

England Backs Southgate Regardless of Euro 2024 Final Outcome

The Football Association (FA) has confirmed its continued support for Gareth Southgate as manager, irrespective of the result in Sunday’s Euro 2024 final against Spain.

This decision comes despite a challenging tournament for England, with some unconvincing performances in the group stage. However, the Three Lions have shown resilience, reaching their first major tournament final outside of England.

Southgate, who led England to a heartbreaking penalty shootout loss in the Euro 2020 final, will be aiming to secure the trophy this time around. While Spain enters the final as the favorite, England’s ability to bounce back from setbacks could prove crucial.

The FA has consistently expressed confidence in Southgate’s leadership throughout the tournament, despite some early criticism. With his current contract expiring later this year, discussions regarding an extension were already planned.

Southgate’s performance in Euro 2024 has strengthened his position, and the FA is eager to secure his services for the upcoming World Cup campaign.
