Manchester City Retains Top Spot in Updated UEFA Club Rankings
UEFA released their latest club rankings on Friday, with Manchester City maintaining their number one position despite missing out on consecutive Champions League titles.
Real Madrid, the Champions League winners, are now ranked second.
Rounding out the top five are Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and surprisingly, Roma. The rankings, based on a team’s performance in European competitions over the past five seasons, also determine seeding for upcoming UEFA tournaments.
Notably, Chelsea sits ninth among Premier League teams, followed by Manchester United (14th), West Ham (16th), and Arsenal (19th).
