Messi Makes History! Wins Most Trophies Ever in Football with Copa America Triumph

Lionel Messi, Argentina’s captain, etched his name even deeper into footballing history on Sunday. By leading his nation to a 1-0 victory over Colombia in the 2024 Copa America final, Messi secured his place as the player with the most trophies ever.

This hard-fought win marked the 45th piece of silverware in the 37-year-old’s illustrious career, surpassing the previous record held by his former Barcelona teammate, Dani Alves (44).

Messi’s trophy haul encompasses a remarkable blend of club and international success. He claimed 35 titles with Barcelona, six with Argentina (including two Copa Americas), an Olympic gold medal at Beijing 2008, and three trophies with Paris Saint-Germain (two Ligue 1 titles and a Trophee des Champions).

Additionally, he lifted the coveted FIFA World Cup trophy with Argentina in 2022 and the Leagues Cup 2023 with Inter Miami.
