Luka Modric Extends Real Madrid Stay
Real Madrid has secured the services of veteran midfielder Luka Modric for another season. The 38-year-old Croatian, who played a key role in the club’s recent La Liga and Champions League triumphs, has signed a one-year contract extension.
Despite seeing reduced playing time last season, Modric’s influence within the squad remains significant, particularly with the departure of fellow veteran Toni Kroos. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has consistently praised Modric’s character and playing ability.
The Croatian maestro has amassed an impressive 534 appearances for Real Madrid, contributing 39 goals since joining the club in 2012. His trophy cabinet includes six Champions League titles and four La Liga championships.
