Manchester City kick off their summer transfer window under Pep Guardiola with the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho.
The Premier League champions announced the five-year deal for the 20-year-old on Thursday. Savinho joins City from Troyes, having spent the previous season on loan at Girona, where he impressed and helped the Spanish club secure a historic Champions League qualification.
“Everyone at Manchester City is delighted to welcome Savinho to the club and we all wish him well during his time here,” a statement from City read.
Savinho expressed his enthusiasm about joining the club: “I’m so happy to be joining Manchester City, the Premier League champions and Club World Cup winners. Everyone knows they are the best team in the world right now, so to be here is very exciting for me.”
