Liverpool Fall to Preston in Slot’s Preseason Debut
Liverpool kicked off their preseason campaign with a narrow 1-0 defeat to Championship side Preston North End in a friendly played behind closed doors. This marked the first game in charge for new manager Arne Slot.
The only goal of the match came from former Manchester United winger Robbie Brady, who capitalized on a loose pass from the Liverpool defense and lobbed the ball over 22-year-old goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros from 40 yards out.
