Udinese Turn Down Torino’s Offer for Okoye

Udinese Firm on Keeping Okoye

Italian Serie A side, Udinese, have issued a strong statement of intent by rejecting a bid from Torino for Nigerian goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye. The 24-year-old shot-stopper has emerged as a pivotal figure for the club since securing the number one jersey in the second half of last season.

Okoye’s impressive performances have attracted interest from several Serie A clubs, including Inter Milan earlier in the summer transfer window. However, Udinese have remained steadfast in their valuation of the former Watford goalkeeper.

With three years remaining on his contract, Okoye is seen as a key part of the club’s future plans. His recent display in Udinese’s 4-0 Coppa Italia victory over Avellino further underlined his importance to the team.

As the transfer window progresses, it is expected that other clubs will continue to monitor Okoye’s situation. But for now, Udinese appears determined to retain the services of the talented Nigerian goalkeeper.
