Napoli Offer Hope of Osimhen Deal

Napoli Keep Osimhen Transfer Door Open

Napoli have offered hope to clubs chasing Victor Osimhen, stating they will explore all options to find the “best solution” for the Nigerian striker before the transfer window closes.

The Serie A champions have set a hefty €130 million price tag on the in-demand forward, a valuation that has so far deterred potential suitors Chelsea, PSG, and Arsenal.

Despite Napoli’s difficult start to the season, sporting director Giovanni Manna has confirmed the club is still open to selling Osimhen, but admitted the situation remains complex.

“It’s an objective fact, what the coach said, the situation is blocked,” he said.

“Victor is an important player, with an important value and conditions. His desire is clear.

“We tried to maintain the integrity of the squad at this moment. We are not the only club in this situation and we’ll see what happens over the next ten days.

“At this time, it is not right to say what sensations there are. We are working with his entourage to find the best solution. As we said, he is an important player, so it’s not that we can just sell him anywhere. He is under contract for another two seasons, so clearly if we don’t find a solution by August 30, we’ll have to talk to the player.”

Napoli’s attempts to offload Victor Osimhen have been hampered by the player’s substantial wage demands, believed to be around €11 million per year. The Italian club’s financial constraints make it difficult to accommodate such a high salary, increasing their motivation to sell.

However, Napoli’s €130 million valuation for the striker has proven to be a major obstacle for potential buyers. The club’s inability to move Osimhen has also created a domino effect, delaying other transfer deals, including a potential move for Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.
