Liverpool Signs Two Nigerian Players for Champions League

Liverpool Bolsters Champions League Squad with Nigerian Talent

Liverpool has strengthened its UEFA Champions League squad with the addition of two Nigerian players, Wellity Lucky-Omoruyi and Afolami Onanuga.

The Reds will kick off their Champions League campaign against AC Milan at San Siro on Tuesday night.

While the first-team squad includes familiar names like Conor Bradley and Harvey Elliott, Liverpool has also registered Lucky-Omoruyi and Onanuga on List B for the tournament.

Although the Nigerian duo is unlikely to feature in the senior team unless there are unforeseen circumstances, they will be part of Liverpool’s UEFA Youth League squad and are expected to participate in the opening match against AC Milan U-19s.

The inclusion of Lucky-Omoruyi and Onanuga showcases Liverpool’s commitment to developing young talent and providing opportunities for players from diverse backgrounds.
