Nigerian Sports Minister Condemns Libya’s Mistreatment of Super Eagles
Senator John Enoh, Nigeria’s Minister of Sports Development, has strongly criticized the Libyan government for the recent ordeal faced by the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles.
The team was held captive at Al Abaq Airport after their flight was unexpectedly diverted to a different city, causing significant delays and distress. Minister Enoh expressed deep concern for the well-being of the players and officials, emphasizing that such treatment is unacceptable, especially considering they were in Libya for an international sporting event.
He stated that the Nigerian government will not tolerate any form of disrespect or mistreatment towards its national team and is working diligently to resolve the situation through diplomatic channels.
