Thomas Tuchel Confirmed as New England Manager
Thomas Tuchel has officially agreed to become the next permanent manager of the England national football team.
The 51-year-old German coach, who previously managed Chelsea and Bayern Munich, will take over from interim manager Lee Carsley. Tuchel’s appointment marks the end of Gareth Southgate’s tenure as England manager, which saw the team reach the finals of both Euro 2020 and Euro 2024.
Despite these successes, Southgate decided to step down following England’s defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final. Tuchel is expected to be unveiled as the new England manager in the coming days.
He brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success, having won the Champions League, Club World Cup, and Super Cup during his time at Chelsea.
With Tuchel at the helm, England will aim to build on their recent successes and compete for the 2026 World Cup.
