Arteta Urges Saka to Step Up as Leader
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has challenged Bukayo Saka to embrace a leadership role at the club. The young English winger has already captained the Gunners on several occasions this season, and Arteta believes he has the potential to become a true leader.
“One of them is to increase his leadership role in the team,” Arteta told TNT Sports. “He’s a boy that was raised at the club, through every single brick that is necessary to be at the top level, and I think he has the right values, the right temperament, the right character and exceptional ability to become one of our biggest players and create a legacy at this football club.
“Arteta also hinted at the possibility of Saka transitioning into a central forward role in the future, drawing parallels with players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappé. However, the manager emphasized that Saka is currently excelling in his current position.
