Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has played down talk of a Premier League title challenge, insisting his side are not yet at that level.
Following a goalless draw at Everton, Maresca stated, “We are not in a title race and it’s not about the pressure for the players, club or me. For me it’s the reality.” He acknowledged the team’s impressive start to the season, saying, “We are ahead of our expectations in terms of the way we are playing and points. I hope one day soon we’ll have the title race pressure!”
Maresca’s comments suggest a focus on continued improvement and a realistic assessment of Chelsea’s current position in the league.
