Zak Sturge, a defender for Chelsea, has returned to Stamford Bridge from his loan spell at Peterborough United during the current January transfer window.
Chelsea officially announced this via their website on Tuesday.
Sturge had ventured to Peterborough United last summer for his initial experience in senior loan football.
Over the course of his time there, he participated in 15 matches across various competitions in the League One.
Prior to this loan, Sturge had originally joined Chelsea from Brighton and was a notable presence in the PL2 level before his move to London Road at the commencement of the season.
With his return to Chelsea, the possibility of his inclusion in manager Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for the second half of the season remains to be seen.
