According to a source familiar with the discussions, Hugo Lloris, the captain of the World Cup-winning French team, is reportedly set to join Los Angeles FC in the MLS after ending his contract with Tottenham.
Lloris, who has been with Tottenham since 2012 and served as their captain for eight years, is anticipated to have a special farewell from Spurs fans during Sunday’s match against Bournemouth.
The 37-year-old goalkeeper played a crucial role in France’s 2018 World Cup victory and also participated in the 2022 final, which ended in a penalty shootout loss to Argentina.
Lloris experienced a decline in his standing at Tottenham last season following a series of subpar performances.
