During Dominic Thiem’s qualifying match at the Brisbane International, play was interrupted for 40 minutes when a snake was seen near the court.
Australian player James McCabe had just won the first set 6-2 against Thiem when the reptile was spotted near the spectators.
The match was stopped until a snake catcher arrived and successfully captured the snake, allowing play to resume.
