Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, is looking to bolster his squad in the upcoming January transfer window to revitalize the team’s Premier League title challenge.
The Gunners, who were leading the table on Christmas Day, have slipped to fourth place and are facing scoring difficulties, with their top scorer, Bukayo Saka, trailing behind players from other teams.
Reportedly, Arteta is keen on strengthening three key areas: forward, full-back, and holding midfielder.
The club has been linked with Brentford’s Ivan Toney, but a big spending might be unlikely this month, as Brentford is expected to demand over £80 million for Toney, who is set to return from suspension in two weeks.
Victor Osimhen is another potential target, but his high price tag could pose a hurdle for any immediate deal. Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez has also drawn Arteta’s attention.
