Anthony Joshua’s next opponent has been confirmed as UFC legend Francis Ngannou, with both Matchroom and Queensberry promotional teams endorsing the news on Friday.
Ngannou, famous for his professional boxing debut against Tyson Fury in October, suffered a split decision loss in that fight.
The announcement was also corroborated by Joshua’s show promoter, Hearn, who indicated that the fight is a done deal and will occur on a significant night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
A press conference is scheduled to take place in London on January 15, with more comprehensive details to follow soon.
