According to The Athletic, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly leaning towards joining Arsenal over Chelsea, with the Champions League potentially being a decisive factor for the Nigerian forward.
Osimhen is said to be keen on competing in Europe’s premier club competition, which Arsenal can offer sooner than Chelsea, who may not participate until at least 2025/2026.
Despite recently extending his contract with Napoli, which includes a release clause of approximately £112m, Osimhen is expected to depart the Serie A champions this summer.
Furthermore, Chelsea legends Didier Drogba and John Obi-Mikel have been actively engaging with Osimhen, attempting to sway his decision in favor of the London club.
