Lionel Messi, the Argentine forward for Inter Miami, has expressed his anticipation for the upcoming “Last Dance” fixture against his longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo in the Riyadh Season Cup.
The event is scheduled to run from January 29 to February 8 at the new Kingdom Arena. This match could potentially be the final encounter between the two legends, who have faced each other 35 times in their careers, with Messi claiming 16 wins compared to Ronaldo’s 10, alongside nine draws.
In a friendly match last October between PSG and the Saudi All-Stars, both players scored, with Messi’s team securing a 5-4 victory.
Taking to Instagram, Messi shared his excitement for Inter Miami’s participation in the #RiyadhSeasonCup, where they will compete against top Saudi clubs in a historic championship.
This tournament will serve as part of Inter Miami’s preseason preparations, leading up to the regular MLS season running from February 21 to October 19, with playoffs scheduled for October and December.
