Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has disclosed the discussion he had with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola before he transferred to Chelsea.
Palmer, 21, departed from the Premier League champions in a £42.5 million transfer. In an interview with Mail Sport, he shared the ultimatum Guardiola presented to him.
Palmer initially expressed his desire to go on loan to gain more first-team experience, as he had limited playing time in the previous season.
However, Guardiola informed him that he would either stay at Manchester City or be sold. Consequently, Palmer was sold.
While initially confused about not being allowed to go on loan, Palmer ultimately expressed his desire to join Chelsea and is pleased with how the situation has unfolded.
