Former Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has criticized his former national team coach, Sunday Oliseh, labeling him as one of the worst managers he has played under.
According to Mikel Obi, Oliseh disrupted the Eagles’ camp from his first day, particularly by singling out Mikel Obi and Vincent Enyeama, the goalkeeper, and making claims about player power within the team.
This ultimately led to clashes and the abrupt retirement of Enyeama.
Mikel Obi expressed that Oliseh lacked managerial skills and understanding, causing confusion and destroying team unity.
He described Oliseh as bitter, jealous, and disrespectful.
Since his tenure with the Super Eagles, Oliseh has not taken on a new coaching position since 2022, following stints with Dutch side Fortuna Sittard and German fifth-tier side SV Straelen.
