Sarina Wiegman, manager of the England Women’s national team, recently extended her contract until the 2027 World Cup after a successful tenure since joining in September 2021.
Under her leadership, the team claimed victory at the 2022 European Championship and reached the final of the 2023 World Cup.
Additionally, Wiegman guided the team to their first Women’s Finalissima win against Brazil and received the 2023 FIFA Best Women’s Coach award.
With her eyes set on the 2025 Euros and the 2027 World Cup, Wiegman expressed her excitement and determination to achieve even greater success. Her achievements have not gone unnoticed, as the Football Association praised her contributions in developing England’s female players and expressed delight in extending her contract.
