Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, has confirmed that Kelechi Iheanacho has recuperated from his injury, which caused him to miss Nigeria’s pre-2023 Africa Cup of Nations training tour in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Iheanacho has joined the squad and was even named among the substitutes in Nigeria’s recent 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea.
According to Peseiro, the 27-year-old has been performing well in training and is eager to play in the upcoming Super Eagles clash against hosts Cote d’Ivoire.
