Napoli has confirmed the signing of Hamed Traore, the Ivory Coast midfielder, from Bournemouth.
The player will be on loan until the end of the season, and Napoli will have the option to make the move permanent.
Reports in the Italian media suggest that Napoli, currently ranked eighth in Serie A, would need to pay 25 million euros to secure Traore’s permanent transfer.
Traore is returning to Italy after a year with Bournemouth, having faced limited playing time after being loaned and eventually sold by Sassuolo.
Additionally, Traore, who has represented his country nine times, had to miss the Africa Cup of Nations due to a battle with malaria that led to his hospitalization towards the end of last year.
