Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has instructed Anthony Martial to undergo individual training in order to improve his fitness before being considered for selection.
According to Mail Sport, Martial has been training separately from the squad since recovering from a recent sickness bug, and has not played for the team since their 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth on December 9.
Ten Hag, when asked about Martial, has indicated that the player is not currently fit and it’s understood that this is not due to injury, but rather a lack of sufficient fitness following his illness.
It’s been clarified that Ten Hag’s decision for Martial to undergo individual training is not a disciplinary action, but rather reflects his belief in the effectiveness of personalized training for players who need to regain match fitness.
