West Ham ready to smash transfer record Victor Boniface

West Ham is reportedly prepared to break their transfer record to sign Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen.

Boniface, who joined Leverkusen from Union SG for £19m in the summer, has impressed with ten goals in the Bundesliga and a total of 16 in all competitions. An adductor injury has sidelined the Nigeria international from the Africa Cup of Nations, but this setback hasn’t deterred West Ham. The Hammers’ technical director, Tim Steidten, previously associated with Leverkusen, is supposedly leading the push for this significant transfer.

Additionally, West Ham has expressed interest in Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, who is seeking more playing time.

However, Villa is unlikely to consider a deal for Duran unless a substantial offer, rather than a loan, is presented.
