Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, is reportedly not considering leaving the Premier League club to join Barcelona at the end of the current season.
Following rumors in Spain on Sunday suggesting that Arteta was set to depart in the summer, Sky Sports has clarified that there are no plans for Arteta to leave Arsenal.
The speculation had indicated that Arteta had informed his staff of his intention to leave the Emirates.
Barcelona’s coaching position is set to become vacant ahead of the 2024/2025 campaign, and Arteta has been linked with the role following Xavi’s announcement that he will step down as Barca head coach at the end of the season.
Arteta, who took over from Unai Emery at Arsenal in November 2019, is in his first senior managerial role.
