Goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali returned to training on Tuesday evening after making an impressive recovery from injury, according to a report by SPORTMATA.
Nwabali had suffered a mild ligament injury during the Super Eagles’ 2-0 win over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon last Saturday.
Initially training separately on Monday as the Super Eagles began preparations for their quarter-final match against Angola, Nwabali trained alongside the goalkeeper trainer at the Police College, Cocody, Abidjan on Tuesday, indicating his readiness for the upcoming game against the Palancas Negras.
Reports indicated that he had ceased limping and participated in the standard goalkeeping drills.
It is anticipated that Nwabali will undergo a further fitness assessment on Wednesday to confirm his readiness for the upcoming match.
