Full-Time: Man Utd 3 – 0 West Ham

Manchester United celebrated Rasmus Hojlund’s 21st birthday in style, crushing West Ham United 3-0 at Old Trafford to leapfrog their opponents into sixth place in the Premier League.

The victory, on the heels of a thrilling 4-3 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers, continues Erik ten Hag’s resurgence at the club.

Hojlund himself marked the occasion in style, becoming the youngest player in United’s history to score in four consecutive Premier League games.

His 23rd-minute strike, following a Casemiro prod after West Ham’s failed clearance, showcased his growing confidence in front of goal.

Not to be outdone, Argentine teenager Alejandro Garnacho stole the second-half show.

His deflected shot in the 49th minute wrong-footed substitute goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, doubling United’s lead.

He capped off his impressive performance with a late second in the 84th minute, finishing off a flowing move initiated by a Scott McTominay interception.

The win propels United to 38 points after 23 games, just eight adrift of the coveted top-four spots. Meanwhile, West Ham slump to seventh with 36 points, their recent struggles continuing.

For ten Hag, the victory underlines the progress his team is making. Hojlund’s scoring streak and Garnacho’s blossoming talent offer exciting glimpses into the future, while the team’s collective spirit is on the rise.

With momentum building and key fixtures approaching, United fans can dare to dream of a strong finish to the season.
