Arsenal Thump Burnley 5-0, Close Gap on Leaders

Arsenal extended their winning streak to five games with a dominant 5-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor.

While Liverpool’s earlier win had widened the gap at the top, the Gunners responded emphatically to close the deficit back to two points and maintain their Premier League title challenge.

Echoing their impressive performance against West Ham, Arsenal wasted no time, taking the lead within five minutes.

Martinelli set up captain Odegaard, who fired a precise shot into the net from the edge of the box.

Burnley posed a minimal threat, and Arsenal doubled their lead before halftime.

Trossard was fouled in the penalty area, and Saka confidently converted despite the goalkeeper guessing correctly.

The second half saw Saka quickly add to his tally, finishing superbly after receiving a clever pass from Odegaard.

This effectively sealed the win, but Arsenal wasn’t done yet. Kiwior’s cross found Havertz, who set up Trossard for his first goal after several near misses.

Havertz then capped off a perfect afternoon for Arsenal with a well-taken fifth goal after a smart run.

This dominant win keeps Arsenal firmly in the title race, sending their fans into a celebratory frenzy while leaving Burnley struggling at the bottom of the table.
