Liverpool star Mohamed Salah’s future remains a topic of speculation, with club legend Mark Lawrenson suggesting a summer departure could be on the cards.
Lawrenson believes a “deal” might have been struck last summer for Salah to join a Saudi Arabian club, possibly Al-Ittihad who reportedly offered £170 million previously.
He anticipates further offers approaching £200 million could be tempting, especially with manager Jurgen Klopp’s planned departure at the end of the season.
While Lawrenson is confident in Salah’s exit, emphasizing it’s “100 percent” happening, he acknowledges no official confirmation exists.
He suggests Salah could stay until the end of his contract in 2025, but sees a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia as a potential final chapter.
Currently recovering from an injury, Salah’s return could happen as early as tomorrow’s match against Brentford.
However, the speculation surrounding his future adds another layer of uncertainty to his immediate and long-term plans.
