In the wake of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup final defeat to Liverpool, legendary striker Alan Shearer directed his criticism towards Noni Madueke for his performance.
Shearer, speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, identified three missed opportunities by Madueke during the match that could have altered the outcome.
He stated, “Madueke has had three really good opportunities and he has wasted all of them.”
He further emphasized the impact of these missed chances by adding, “He did exactly what Liverpool wanted him to do there.”
This criticism comes after Madueke joined Chelsea from PSV in 2023 and was expected to make a significant contribution to the team’s attacking prowess.
However, his performance in the final fell short of expectations, leading to Shearer’s strong critique.
