Arsenal’s midfielder, Declan Rice, recently discussed his favorite moment with the club so far, highlighting the significance of his first goal.
Rice, who joined Arsenal from West Ham last summer, has consistently impressed throughout the season, earning the London Football Awards’ Player of the Year title.
Speaking after the award ceremony, Rice reflected on his experience, noting the crucial nature of the match when choosing his most cherished moment.
“There have been many incredible moments,” Rice acknowledged, “but considering the importance of the game, I would say scoring against Manchester United stands out.”
He elaborated on the context, emphasizing the emotional connection to the goal.
“It was my first goal for the club,” he detailed, “and it came just after Alejandro Garnacho’s goal was disallowed.
Fortunately, I managed to head it in, and it was a moment I truly enjoyed.”
Rice concluded by reiterating his choice.
“That, for me, has been the best moment so far.”
