Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team, the Falconets, kicked off their African Games title defense with a convincing 2-0 win over Morocco.
Chioma Olise opened the scoring in the 19th minute, and an own goal by Yina Adoo shortly before halftime sealed the victory.
Despite some missed chances, the Falconets look strong. They face Senegal next on Monday.
