“The Treble is a long shot, forget it” – Carragher critiques Liverpool after Atalanta thrashing

Carragher Urges Klopp to Prioritize Premier League After Atalanta Mauling

Following Liverpool’s crushing 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in the Europa League first leg, legendary defender Jamie Carragher has called on manager Jurgen Klopp to prioritize the Premier League title race.

The loss leaves Liverpool facing a significant uphill battle to qualify for the next round. Klopp had previously aimed for a Treble, including the League, Europa League, and the already secured Carabao Cup. However, Carragher, writing in a recent publication, believes the Europa League is a lost cause.

“Terrible result and performance from Liverpool,” Carragher wrote. “The only silver lining is that Jurgen should use a full second team next leg and focus everything on the league!”

The Premier League title race is currently a tight three-horse competition, with Arsenal leading the pack and Manchester City trailing closely behind. All three teams are separated by just a single point, making every remaining match crucial.
