Zinedine Zidane, the legendary French midfielder, has his sights set on Manchester United rather than Bayern Munich, according to Marca.
The 51-year-old is currently the favorite to take over for Thomas Tuchel at Bayern, but reports suggest he’s waiting for the right opportunity.
While Zidane hasn’t managed since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, his impressive record, including three consecutive Champions League titles, makes him a highly sought-after coach.
However, a potential language barrier could be an obstacle. Zidane doesn’t speak English or German, which might have previously limited him to managing in France, Spain, or Italy.
Despite this, recent reports indicated he was close to a deal with Bayern, with the club seeing him as their top choice. But it seems Zidane might be holding out for the Manchester United position.
