In a move to promote greater financial balance, 16 Premier League clubs voted in favor of introducing spending restrictions on transfers, wages, and agent fees, according to a report by The UK Times.
The proposal, aimed at fostering a more competitive league, would limit spending for each club to a proportion of the television revenue received by the lowest-earning club.
Notably, the proposal secured the necessary majority of 14 votes, despite not achieving unanimity.
