This continues Manchester City’s dominance in the award, with Foden becoming the third City player to win in four years, following Ruben Dias (2021) and Erling Haaland (2023).

Foden edged out Arsenal’s Declan Rice and teammate Rodri, who finished second and third, respectively. Other contenders included Martin Odegaard, Ollie Watkins, and Manchester City youngster Cole Palmer.

The 23-year-old playmaker has been in phenomenal form this season, contributing a staggering 16 goals and 7 assists in the Premier League alone. He’s also impressed in the Champions League with 5 goals and 3 assists, adding another 2 goals in the FA Cup.
